21-year-old pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo announced her upcoming world tour for her sophomore studio album titled “GUTS” on September 13th, 2023. Rodrigo released the lead single of the album “Vampire” on June 30th, 2023. The single quickly rose to the top of the charts and became Rodrigo’s third overall number one hit. With the rest of the album shortly following later that year and being equally as successful. Ever since, fans have been waiting for the singer to take to the stage with her newest hits.
The tour is set to kick off Friday, February 23rd, 2024, in Rodrigo’s home state. Her first show is in Palm Springs, California and will be bringing her newest spunky rock songs, heart break ballads, and anthems about her life all throughout North America and Europe over the course of several months. The tour will then wrap things up back in the United States with the final show being held in Inglewood, California on August 17th, 2024.
Pre-sale for tickets to shows listed earlier in her tour schedule began back in September of 2023, but if you have missed it, do not worry because pre-sale for shows at later dates are currently happening right now, with more pre-sale opportunities to come.
During her tour, Rodrigo will be performing all twelve songs from the track list and will be accompanied by opening performers on select dates on the tour schedule. Opening acts include performances by The Breeders, Chappell Roan, PinkPantheress, and Remi Wolf. The songs on “GUTS” compared to those on her previous album “Sour” will tackle more adult themes such as her own insecurities, making mistakes, the struggles of growing up and how it feels to exist as a woman today. Rodrigo presents more maturity within her newest album as she moves on from the relationship drama of her “Sour” era into a new movement focusing on learning how to find herself as she shifts into adulthood and confronting societal pressure that is put on young adults. The track list features stronger vocals, as well as elegant and creative lyricism that shows her true feelings on tough subject matters. “GUTS” is a masterful track filled with rage and femininity that sorts out all of the confusing teenage angst that moved on into her adult life.
The album is filled with upbeat melodies and softer sounds her audience finds relatable. Since the age of “Sour” fans have been waiting for new music by Rodrigo to hit the radio. Now, the wait is over, as Rodrigo is back and better than ever.
Rodrigo’s long-awaited upcoming tour has been in such high demand, that at least twenty additional national and international dates had to be added due to the rapid pace of ticket sales. Many venues all over North America and Europe are already sold out and tickets are still going quickly.
