Student Association
Joining SAAC is a good way to get involved on campus. The Student Association Activities Council is a committee in the Student Association that puts on free events for students almost every night. This committee brings in comedians, lecturers, bands, mind readers; it hosts trivia and does so much more! SAAC is also responsible for concerts; it has brought in Panic! at the Disco, Big Sean, Echosmith, Gym Class Heroes and many other famous artists to our campus!
On February 25, the Student Association Activities Council elections went live. The following were positions that were voted on: logistics coordinator, finance coordinator, secretary, comedy chair, special events chair, and lectures chair. The logistics coordinator, now held by Dylan Murphy, oversees promotions/publicity, serves on the communications and public relations committee, coordinates van usage, and is on the OH-Fest planning committee.
The finance coordinator, Alexandria Robinson, makes purchase requests needed for programming and operations, provides chairs with budgets, oversees budget blueprint for the next fiscal year and keeps accurate financial records.
The secretary, Jordyn Graf, oversees correspondence, keeps minutes of all meetings, attendance records, and acts as the organization’s historian.
The comedy chair, Jesse Gardner, along with special events chair and lecture chair Kayleigh Murphy and Alicia Bulson, research, plan and execute events as well as evaluate performers.
The multicultural chair position was won by Jaimin Shah, and performing arts chair by Julia Falcone.
