On Saturday, October 3rd, rapper Lucki was stabbed during an altercation outside the ComplexCon venue parking lot in Los Angeles. While it is unknown what caused the fight, the Chicago rapper sustained a rather gruesome neck wound. LAPD reported that at least four people in total were injured from the incident.
According to LAPD, the fight was ongoing when first responders arrived at the scene and was quickly dissolved. While Lucki was not named as one of the injured, the police stated that the injuries on two of the victims looked consistent with “stab wounds or lacerations.” Of all four victims, two were transported to the hospital, one drove themselves to the hospital, and another denied medical assistance. The altercation is currently being investigated as attempted murder, although no charges have been filed as of yet.
The altercation was filmed and posted online, where it went viral on X. It was filmed at multiple angles, with one video showing Lucki in a state of shock in the aftermath, with a clear wound on his neck whilst being ushered into his car by his team.
ComplexCon, the hip-hop festival where Lucki was performing, gave a statement to PEOPLE magazine where they stated the fight happened outside its venue before addressing the incident. “The safety and security of our guests, talent, partners and staff is our highest priority. We are aware of an incident that occurred outside the ComplexCon event yesterday and our security team and the LAPD responded immediately.” ComplexCon stated regarding the stabbing before reassuring a safe environment for the rest of the festival’s duration “We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and remain focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone attending ComplexCon.”
It was reported from witnesses at the scene that Playboi Carti, another rapper who was headlining the festival, had his entourage involved in the fight whilst watching the stabbing from afar, leading many people to speculate if Carti had something to do with the brawl. While the two rappers have had thrown shade at each other in the past alongside Carti’s previous legal issues, including an alleged misdemeanor assault charge against his girlfriend driver back in October 2025, Lucki has claimed the two did not have any personal issues with one another. For now, it is just mere speculation on the motive behind the attack on Lucki.
