It has been a whole year since Chappell Roan released her debut album, ‘The Rise and Fall of the Midwest Princess’ on September 22nd, 2023, and her career now couldn’t be more successful. Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, or more known as her stage name, Chappell Roan, was born on February 19th, 1998, in Willard, Missouri. Her debut album is bold, unique, and encapsulates having a queer identity. Right before her album release, Roan went on her debut headlining tour called ‘Naked in North America’ to promote her singles: ‘Naked in Manhattan,’ and ‘Femininomenon.’ Then later within the year of 2023 she released more songs titled ‘Casual,’ “Kaleidoscope,” “Red Wine Supernova” and “Hot to Go!”

On September 22nd, 2023 she released her debut album “The Rise and Fall of the Midwest Princess.” The album has all of the hit songs she had released as singles. Roan went on her second headlining tour, The Midwest Princess Tour, starting September of 2023. This tour showed huge success and upstarted Roan’s career. Over the course of the tour, she performed not only in North America, but had multiple shows in international cities such as, London, Paris, Berlin, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Amsterdam.

In 2024, Roan was an opener for pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo during her “Guts” World Tour in the United States and Canada starting in February and concluding her leg of the tour in April. Even though Roan gained popularity from debuting in her own tour, her addition to Rodrigo’s Guts tour really sent her career sky high.

Shortly after the first week on tour with Rodrigo, Roan performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as a musical guest. In March of 2024 she did a Tiny Desk Concert performance released by NPR.

In April of 2024, Roan released her most popular single, ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ which had fans roaring with excitement. She described ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ as the first song of the next chapter of her career. In June the song became her very first Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, and by August it reached its peak at number six, becoming her very first Top Ten chart.

Roan’s success and popularity continued to climb when she performed at Coachella for the first time ever. Roan proceeded to perform at numerous events such as, Governors Ball Music Festival, (or more known as Gov Ball), and the Bonnaroo Music Festival alongside many other very popular musical artists of all genres.

Chappell Roan states that she is “Currently on the Midwest Princess Tour” resuming where she left off a few months ago before opening for Olivia Rodrigo. The tour is said to have its final show on October 13th, 2024, and it is going to be a great one.

Overall, Chappell Roan has made a very good career for herself in an entire year. This “Midwest Princess” is still on the rise and fans are very excited to see what she does next! Good Luck, Babe!
