In 2023, the Gilgo Beach Serial Killer shocked everyone when more bodies of his victims were found and the haunting tale behind his identity was revealed. Gilgo Beach had become his hiding place for his victims for years, going as far back as the 1990s. A total of eleven bodies were found along a stretch of highway in Gilgo Beach and one of them has been referred to as “Asian Doe.”Asian Doe has remained unidentified for the last 13 years since their body was discovered in 2011. Today, Gilgo Beach police have new information and sketches that could lead to Asian Doe getting their name back.

According to The Daily Mail, police found the body dressed in women’s clothing such as a bra, a ribbed blue crewneck, and a Rafaella shirt. Asian Doe was found to have suffered blunt force trauma when they were murder in 2006. The victim, however, was identified as a male. This prompted officers to believe the victim either identified and lived as a woman or was a sex worker in New York City.

The police were able to determine that Asian Doe was likely of Southern Chinese descent and was between the ages of 17 and 23-years-old at the time of death. Two sketches were released to the public to help narrow their search. One sketch is of what the victim could have looked like as a man and the other is the victim in the appearance of a woman at the time of death.

Asian Doe is not the only body that remains unidentified. Two other unidentified victims have been referred to as “Peaches” and “Baby Doe”. Peaches was the mother of Baby Doe, a baby girl estimated to have been 16 months to two-years-old at the time of death.

Last year police arrested an architect, Rex Heuermann, for the murders of six women. Four of whom were sex workers in New York City when they died. Heuermann pleaded not guilty but four of the victims connected to Heuermann were the Gilgo Four. Their remains were identical and unique compared to the other remains found in Gilgo Beach.

According to ABC News, a reward has been offered to anyone who has information on Asian Doe’s identity. At this time investigators remain unclear if Asian Doe can be linked to Heuermann.

The only thing that could link Heuermann to Asian Doe is his internet searches before the murder. According to The New York Post, the searches were about Asian escorts and other disturbing things. Gilgo Beach is only six miles away from Heuermann’s home.
