A Poem by Gabrielle Serafin |

Back and forth like clockwork I swear

There’s just something about you, something really rare

The last time we were on, boy it didn’t go well

Had me cursing your name and damning you to hell

You’ve taken the breakup with her hard…or so I hear,

Man you’ve turned for the worse, good thing I’ve steered clear

But just as I’m about to forget you, there you are

Ready to pull me in, create another scar

I swore I was done, I can stay strong

But I see my phone light up…that didn’t take long

Picking it up, I better grab it

He said “Where ya been?” I said falling back into an old habit
