Hockey Season is Back

Rilwan Ameen, Contributing Writer

Hockey is back like it hasn’t been since the sport locked itself out of completion cancelling the 2004-2005 season. With the Washington Capitals lighting up the sport with a 7-0 record and the sport’s best player, Alexander Ovechkin, it’s now gaining back the popularity it lost with the labor dispute that gave hockey a form of notoriety for many years after. Hockey is a sport with an in-game format of three 20 minute periods, breaks in between each period and then a shootout if the game is tied at the end of regulation, with some fights sprinkled in throughout the contest, and then the rabid fans of any of the four major sports. Hockey has now fixed many of its problems, made itself better and is now truly back.
