A Yankees Week to Remember!

After a devastating loss to the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 Playoffs Season, the Yankees have
started off on a strong note with back-to-back wins.

The Yankees’ first game back was the MLB Opening Day on March 25th, in which they viciously
defeated the San Francisco Giants by 7 – 0. They proved victorious in the 2nd inning as Jose
Caballero stepped onto bat and gave the Yankees their first double home run alongside his first
running bat-in. Ryan McMahon then gave the team their second home run shortly afterwards that
led to the Yankees gaining three points against the Giants. If things could not get any better than
that, Trent Grisham proved to be the MVP by scoring the team their third home run and blocking
Giants catcher Matt Chapman from catching the ball. Jazz Chisholm Jr. then batted the 5th
inning’s second homerun.

Despite an upsetting 2 – 1 loss, they proved themselves mighty at their first home game of the
season on April 3rd, where they bounced back with an 8 – 2 score against the Miami Marlins.
Aaron Judge made a two-run home run in the 1st inning, his first one this season after a legendary
20 single home run record from 2025. Ben Rice saw himself strike out earlier and even hit a foul
ball on his first batting on the 7th inning, but his second batting and his two double run in the 8th
inning redeemed his performance as he gained the Yankees another few points that secured their
win.

Their game on April 4th started off on a tense note, where the Marlins had a lead start
with 4 – 0 against the Yankees. However, Cody Bellinger scored a two-run homer in the 5th
inning, bringing the Yankees up two points. Grisham and Judge followed suit in delivering single
RBIs in the 6th inning. Stanton especially carried the team with their continuous wins
during the game, where he had his first steal in two years during the 7th inning before gaining a
two-run single.

Despite it only being early in the season, Yankees and baseball fans can agree that the Yankees
have had a solid start and can expect a great chance at the playoffs later. While it is not definitive
of a World Series win, it is a strong indication of a strong and victorious Yankees season.
