Vogue, known for its high achievements and presence in the fashion world, held its third annual world tour fashion show on October 26th in Los Angeles. Hollywood celebrated with beautiful outfits and a night of amazing performances.
The celebration honored film and fashion, with many of the designs honoring films and movies as well as the actors and actresses. The event was held in just one day, while the actual fashion show itself typically lasts just 40 minutes to one hour. In previous years, the event has been held in Manhattan, London, and Paris with this year’s celebration being held in Los Angeles. The event was held at the Paramount Film studio, one of the oldest film studios in the world. Famous films such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Indiana Jones were filmed at the Paramount Film studio. Special performances by Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams were also held at the event. Some of the brilliant outfits displayed at the event by designers included Colleen Atwood with an Edward Scissorhands outfit, Milena Canonero with a Marie Antionette design, Arianne Phillips with a Once Upon a Time outfit, and many more.
Other celebrities in attendance paid their attributes to film and fashion. Such as Nicole Kidman in Chanel, modeling Rita Hayworth in Glinda. As well as Adut Akech modeling Daisy Buchanan in the original outfit from the beloved 2013 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
The event itself had been split up into seven acts different genres and aesthetics such as Hollywood Glamour, The Renegades, Historical Heroines, Summer of Love, Avant-Garde, Afrofuturism, and New World. In each genre, an award-winning costume designer was assigned to work and create a costume for their genre.
The fashion show itself, although quick, goes through an extensive process when it comes to choosing the participants. Options range from A-list celebrities to athletes, dancers and musicians. Once selected, they’re assigned their outfits.
Celebrities such as Conan Gray, Sombr, Levi Dylan, Jodie Turner-Smith, Kyle MacLachlan and many more, were in attendance all seen dressed in all different types of outfits. All honoring certain designers and films.
Each year for Vogue World: Hollywood all of the proceeds made from ticket sales were donated to the Entertainment Community Fund, in focus of supporting and helping costume community professionals who had been impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Vogue also worked with the brand, Fear of God by Jerry Lorenzo, to make the fashion show possible. Sponsors such as Chase Sapphire, Reserve, Eli Lilly and Company and many more made the whole event possible.
