On February 28th, 2026, President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States launched an attack with Israel against the Iranian Regime across multiple cities and towns. The attack killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders in an attempt to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons. Which the United States deemed an “immediate threat”. This attack has led to an ongoing battle between Iran and the United States, leaving the public to wonder how and when it may end.

The United States has always had a shaky relationship with the Iranian regime. Due to hostage situations, disregard for human rights, and many more situations where the two nations struggled to see eye to eye or come to an agreement. Resulting in worsening relations over the past few decades.

Other casualties of the February 28th attack include an elementary girls’ school, according to Iran.

On Monday, the Iranian military attacked oil facilities in Gulf countries, which resulted in the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which is a huge shipping facility for the energy trade. This resulted in the Strait having to close and prevent any further transportation shipments of oil both in or out of the Strait.

This resulted in President Trump threatening Iran with “death, fire, and fury” late on Monday following the attack if they did not allow oil shipments to pass.

Many US citizens have criticized the decision to go to war with Iran. Multiple US troops and Iranian civilians have already died as a result, and more are set to follow. It is unclear how far or how long this conflict will spread. The Pentagon announced that over 140 U.S. service members have been injured as a result of the conflict with Iran so far, as of Tuesday, March 10th.

Israel’s involvement was not forgotten by Iran either, their own relations being rocky for a long while as well. In the past, Israel has accused Iran of harboring genocidal intentions, while Iran has accused Israel of conducting a genocide in Gaza, targeting mainly Palestinian civilians. Following this accusation from Iran, Israel sought military action against Iran in fear of what may happen if the nation were to acquire nuclear weapons and retaliate.

In response to Israel playing a part in the February 28th attack on Iran, Iran did retaliate, targeting military bases belonging to Israel in response. Harming no civilians, so far reported.

Consequently, the Middle East and civilians are living in a state of total panic and war. Iran has also spoken out to protesters, saying not to bother and that police have “their finger on the trigger”. Preventing civilians from speaking out, as well as assembling.
