A couple weeks ago in a Tesla registered to singer D4vd, the remains of a 15-year-old girl were found by authorities in the trunk. Following that discovery, D4vd cancelled his U.S tour dates. According to NBC, the singer whose name is David Anthony Burke has yet to comment on the cancelled tour dates. However, his spokesperson said that he is cooperating with the authorities and investigation into the death of the girl. The girl was later identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez who went missing from Lake Elsinore California last year. The authorities have yet to determine a cause of death.
The Tesla had been towed away from a Los Angeles street where it had then sat in an impound lot for two days before an odor was reported coming from it. Authorities opened the trunk of the Tesla where they found the decomposing body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. According to ABC News, at the time of her death Hernandez was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal bracelet, and metal stud earrings. She was 5-foot-1 with wavy hair and a tattoo on her right index finger that said “shhh.” The tattoo was made popular by Rhianna and several celebrities including Lindsay Lohan who has one in the same place. D4vd even has a “shhh” tattoo on his right index finger as well.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Tesla Hernandez was found in was ticketed eleven days before her body was found. The Tesla had been sitting, parked, on Bluebird Avenue long enough for residents to complain in August leading to it being ticketed. Currently authorities are working to determine how long the car was on the road for and when exactly Hernandez’s body was placed in the trunk.
On Wednesday night authorities conducted a search of a rental home North of Sunset Boulevard where several items were recovered to be analyzed. D4vd then moved out of the house. The Independent reports that movers were seen taking boxes out of the $1.4 million mansion not long after it was searched. It has been reported that D4vd broke a $20,000 lease early on the house. The authorities searched the house trying to find blood evidence that might give them a lead in the case.
It has also been reported that in 2023 a song titled “Celeste” was released on SoundCloud and credited to D4vd, but authorities have not confirmed a relationship between the two. Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s brother, Matthew, said that their family is struggling to cope with her death, and he is trying to remain positive during this time. The case remains under investigation while authorities have evidence to be analyzed to determine Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s cause of death. Authorities also continue to explore any possible links between Hernandez and D4vd.
