It’s that time of the year again when Football fans shout at their televisions as their favorite teams play to win. During week one of the season the Buffalo Bills played against the Arizona Cardinals which resulted in a 34 to 28 win for the Buffalo Bills. During the game Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen leaped over the opposing team’s defensive line like they were a hurdle on a track to secure the touchdown. The Buffalo Bills official website has dubbed him “Air Allen” because of this play and others like it. The game’s first touchdown went to the Cardinals. Quarterback Kyler Murray started by attempting to throw the ball only to run and throw the ball to wide receiver Michael Wilson in the end zone. A Buffalo Bills player did try to take Wilson down but ultimately was unsuccessful.
The Bills made it on the board with a clean and in-bounds field goal giving them three points. In what commentators called a “beautiful move”, Bills player Khalil Shakir clinches a first down and takes a Cardinals player down too. The Cardinals player went for the tackle, only for Shakir to shoulder-block him and make a break for it. Shakir didn’t make it too far before he was tackled. Quarterback Josh Allen gave the Bills their first touchdown just before halftime. Allen decided to run the ball himself and got tackled at the goal line. However, he landed with his shoulders in the endzone and the rest of his body outside of the endzone which ultimately gave them the points.
The second half began with the Bills trailing the Cardinals, 10-17. In an unfortunate sequence of events, the Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray lost his hold on the ball thanks to Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau. Rousseau knocked it loose, resulting in a fumble which gave the Bills possession of the ball. Once the ball hit the field a mad scramble was made for it, with Bills linebacker Dorian Williams emerging with the ball.
During the fourth quarter, Cardinals running back Deejay Dallas returns a punt for a 96 yard touchdown. Despite this touchdown, the Bills still maintained a solid lead. The Cardinals did make an effort to try to take the lead but those efforts were in vain as the Bills kneeled at the end of the fourth quarter to claim the win. The knee was taken with only twenty five seconds left to play. The Cardinals do have a shot at redemption in week two while the Bills have a shot at another win in week two for their tally.
